For those who enjoy a serious hit from their tea, black tea is robust in flavour with a higher caffeine content. Once upon a time blocks of black tea were used as currency. Today it accounts for over 90 per cent of tea consumed in the Western world.
Expect anything from fruit to smoke on your taste buds, and remember, black never goes out of fashion. Infuse in water at 100 degrees Celsius for 2 to 3 minutes until dark golden in colour.
