Private Dining South Yarra
Picture plates of chilli wagyu dumplings glistening with our "magic" chilli oil, Peking duck pancakes being rolled at the table and teapot cocktails poured for everyone. Upstairs at Oriental Teahouse on Chapel Street, our private rooms give your celebration a space of its own, for lunch or dinner, seven days a week, with no room hire fee.

Soul Room
Upstairs, behind open mesh windows, the Soul Room surrounds your group with Chinese décor while the ambience and buzz of the restaurant drift through. Gather around one long table or two side by side, with extra tables for welcome drinks and gifts. Bring the balloons, florals and table styling, hang decorations from our wall rails and make it yours. Just leave the confetti and glitter at home.

The Den
Close the doors and The Den is all yours: a private upstairs room with its own exclusive bar and windows looking out over Chapel Street. Settle in across two or three long tables for a sit-down feast, or keep the energy up with a standing canapé party, grazing stations and roaming platters. Microphone and TV hire is available for speeches, slideshows and toasts.
Private Dining Menus
Our set menus are made for sharing, with rounds of handmade dumplings, shared mains, sides and rice, so nobody leaves hungry or has to work out individual orders. The Den also offers canapé and grazing menus. Dietary guests get their own dedicated menu, drinks can run on a tab or package, and we have ready-made Christmas, corporate and birthday packages.
